Terms of Use

By installing or using Notchback you agree to these terms.

1. Your license

Notchback is licensed, not sold. You may install and use the free version on any Mac you own or control. A Pro license key lets one person use Pro features on up to 2 Macs at a time. You can move a key between Macs by deactivating it in Settings › License.

2. What you may not do

Share, publish, sell or give away your license key, or let more people use it than this license allows.
Redistribute, re-upload, rebrand or resell Notchback or any part of it, in original or modified form. Point people to this website instead.
Remove, disable or work around the license checks, or create, share or use keys, tokens or modified copies that do.
Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where the law gives you a right to do so that can't be waived.

We may disable keys used in breach of these terms. Copies distributed without our permission infringe our copyright and may be removed on our request.

3. Ownership

Notchback, its code, design, name and icon are owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws. Clips you record are yours.

4. Payments and refunds

Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. If Notchback doesn't work on your Mac, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund; refunded keys are disabled.

5. Updates

Pro includes free updates for version 1.x. Future major versions may be sold separately.

6. Your responsibility

Notchback records your screen. You're responsible for how you use and share recordings, including getting any consent the law requires before recording other people or confidential material.

7. No warranty and limited liability

Notchback is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Pro.
